Workshop Came From
My nephew is three. His parents showed him a video I posted about the book I co-authored finally getting published, and hitting the Amazon best seller list.
He watched it three times.
Two weeks later, mid-monster truck rally in the living room, he stopped and looked at me.
“You had a book launch. It was not on your BINGO card, but it was an ADVENTURE!”
Hand gestures and everything.
Every adult in the room went quiet.
My nephew doesn’t know what a book launch is.
He doesn’t know what a BINGO card is.
He just felt somebody going after something that was hers, and it stayed with him.
That was the moment the card became a workshop.

What happens in forty-five minutes
Small group. Camera on OR off – you choose.
You will be writing, not watching.
What squares are already there?
Write down what is already on your card. Everything. The good. The heavy. Even the parts you would not include in a holiday letter.
Whose handwriting?
Some squares you choose. Some were handed to you. Some you have no idea where they came from. Some you didn’t see coming.
What do YOU want to write?
You leave with one square circled and one thing to do about it - NOW. Not a plan for your whole life. One square.
